Well I'll be damned if I've ever seen a party try so hard to lose a presidential election. Week after week the Democratic elites dither around about who they might want their candidate to be, rejecting the vote of the populace that has already approved Joe Biden. It is sad and, well, dare I say it...deplorable. I swear to God the whole thing is going to turn me into a conspiracy theorist. Is some kind of shady dark money behind a plot to throw the election? Anyway, if the Dems do lose, they will richly deserve it, for they have well and truly mobilized against themselves.

The outrage over the palace coup is getting little and no airplay. How dare they take away the candidate the public voted to nominate. For what? For who? Unspoken as yet is the sense that Kamala is not gonna get it done as a replacement. The doubters are waiting to pounce. So we are left with the idea of turning the convention into a media driven circus organized like a contestant game show where the “winner” will be decided by a ranked choice vote of the delegates. I can see it now - “dim the lights! (opening the envelope) and the nominee is….” If this becomes a contest of personality over issues, nobody “they” choose will beat the repub Satan. It’s about trust. And they are losing it.
Anon: yes, trust, integrity, policy out the window. The results may well be catastrophic, and our own party has inflicted them upon us.
