Final Touches

Final touches and improvements are still being applied to my little apartment on Gang Merdu Komala, Sanur. The lock on the sliding garden doors, for instance, must be replaced, as it is frozen and the key will neither turn the lock nor come out of the lock. Venetian blinds have now been mounted in the kitchen and drapes applied for the long garden window. The sliding bathroom door must be redone, as the original was for some odd reason installed without a bottom track, such that the door flaps back and forth in the breeze from the window, clunking against the wall. One of the wall sockets came out in my hand and will be re-fixed in the wall. Other than these minor nuisances however, the place has been super cozy--except for last night when the workers next door decided to work till just after midnight, interrupting my sleep with a lot of hammering and pounding. But these are things that I will have to put up with for a while, as the entire street essentially, is still under construction. The little duplex just before mine is nearly finished, but the apartments being constructed on the other side have only just begun.
