Boy I’m exhausted after the move. Even though I didn’t do much lifting, it was just the packing stuff and the back and forth trips that wore me out. And going to collect the dog—that probably wore me out most. Definitely feeling my age. More than my age, really, due to various MS related problems. Just a lot of aching lately, legs not wanting to move correctly, especially the right leg, stiffness and pain in my upper body. As it turned out, I had to walk back to the old place and get the dog, then walk him back to the new place—not far for a healthy man, but far for me.
So I’m pretty well set up here, as he maid and her husband helped me arrange everything. Well, I should say they arranged everything while I watched. I am the first person to move in on this street because all of the other dwellings still under construction, so I’ll betcha it’s gonna be quite silent at nighttime. However, the apartment right next to mine (also owned by my ex-wife) is almost finished, so I will likely soon have a neighbor.
The dog for some considerable time refused to come into the new place. Just kept walking around in circles outside the gate. He figured no doubt that he was in the wrong place and wanted to go home. But finally he came in and seems to be resting more calmly now. The poor guy is going to miss all his friends at the old place, and especially the food they always gave him.
Unfortunately, I will be without wifi until the 11th of 12th, so there will be nothing appearing on the blog for a while, unless Starbucks miraculously opens again. No wifi! What a nightmare, yeah? No YouTube news, no movies. Yikes. What the heck am I gonna do with my time?
